A lover of people and a social worker by education (Western Michigan University & Michigan State University), Bri has had the privilege of filling a variety of roles throughout the nonprofit sector for the past 20 years, including: Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity of Kent County, Donor Relations Director at Idaho Youth Ranch, Systems Analyst at Grand Rapids Area Coalition to End Homelessness, and Assistant at the Michigan State Housing Development Authority. Prior to joining The Mav Group, Bri provided consulting services to nonprofit organizations throughout the U.S. as Client Services Director at Aperio Philanthropy, a fundraising consulting firm specializing in relationship-based fundraising principles.
Bri joined the Mav Group team in August of 2024 and is excited to recruit because she loves connecting with people! She genuinely enjoys engaging with others to learn about their passions, interests, and what drives them everyday. Bri is particularly interested in helping non-profit organizations – who are responsible for key elements of our safety net – ensure they have dynamic, thoughtful leadership at the helm.
The Promoter is hard not to like. Extraverted, harmonious, supportive, and encouraging—they’re a valued member of any team. Promoters are charismatic, flexible, persuasive, and highly diplomatic. They love being with, talking to, and getting to know others.
Bri loves spending time with friends and family, particularly doing so while partaking in activities like SUP-ing, skiing, hiking, traveling. A curious learner, Bri can be found reading or listening to a podcast in her downtime. A lifelong Michigander, Bri and her husband, Kyle, recently relocated back to Grand Rapids after spending 5 years in Boise, Idaho.
